A third of the way up Mount Everest
This is Edinburgh's artificial ski slope. When Ann was growing up this area was just referred to as the ski slope at Hillend. Now it's called 'Hillend Country Park'. From here there are paths leading all over the Pentland Hills. We did a circular walk of about two and a half miles which took us to the top of the ski slope and back to the car via Swanston Village. That was more than 600ft climbed towards our 'climb Mount Everest project'.
Then, this afternoon Ann was bored so she said, 'Trixie, let's go out for another walk and see where we end up.' We ended up walking for more than 6 miles and climbing more than 500ft. We got home at 3.45pm and had to put all the lights and heating on. We hate these dark nights. Anyway, Ann has worked it out that we're a third of the way up Mount Everest so we're well on track to climb to the summit by Christmas.
Ann is still bored and there's nothing on TV tonight apart from 25 mins of East Enders. I guess she's going to have to find something on Netflix?!
Oh and we have a problem...................... Our TV picture is pixilated on all channels except for BBC. What does that mean? Does it mean we have a problem with the aerial? It doesn't happen all the time, but it's happening right now so the only channels that are watchable are the BBC ones and we don't really watch a lot on BBC. Anybody got any suggestions about what to do?
Anyway, I asked for early dinner because all this 'climbing' is making me hungry and now I'm snoozing in my bed.
Happy Tuesday Evening Blippers. x
