Tree hugger

Whenever I pass this tree I think it looks like it's hugging itself! Today I finally got to take a photo of it.

I don't like the shorter days, although the light is really beautiful while it's there!

Sadly, I've just heard that my lovely German teacher, who I knew was very ill, is now in hospice care. I knew this was coming but it still makes me sad.

I shall console myself with comfort eating Cook shop lasagne (and probably downing a glass of red wine).
