Child’s Hoodie

This wee hoodie for my friend’s toddler granddaughter was a delight to knit from start to finish and I’m really pleased with how it has turned out. I worked out the design myself using a base pattern that I adapted to knit in the round using Shetland Aran-weight wool.The top textured section is a very traditional Scottish fisherman’s pattern from the east coast. The sleeves have been knitted top down so they can be lengthened for growth and the only sewing involved was attaching the hood, which was much more straightforward than I was expecting.
