Blooming - Again
Cloudy, rainy and cold. We actually turned on our heat this morning. They say our heating costs will rise 54% this winter but I can not tolerate being cold. Hubby’s leg and foot were very swollen today for some reason; he tried staying in bed to keep it elevated as much as possible. Made him a large tasty hash and egg breakfast to brighten his day a bit. I puttered around the house, ordered more Christmas gifts and staged my outside plants on the sidewalk to be ready to store them in the basement for the winter. Not crazy about going back out in the chilled rain to carry them to their destination. Am hoping my son will come over to help me. Tonight’s temps will dip down to the mid-30s F. I sure could not believe that my azalea was blooming on 2 November. You have seen flowers from this bush before but I had to document this late bloom. After getting Chase from the bus stop, it was nap time. Kristen’s MIL usually has this task but she has been ill and underwent surgery yesterday. Hoping to hear good news from them later. My DIL is making us a fish dinner so there will be no need for a pizza order until tomorrow. Hope to get in some Kindle time later. Thanks for dropping by. Stay safe. “The flower that follows the sun does so even in cloudy days.”– Robert Leighton
