Biddulph Grange Garden
This Staffordshire National Trust property is very much the place to catch wonderful autumn colours.
Right now it’s the best. (Half term last week was apparently heaving.)
China is the most famous part, with these stunning acers, but the bushes catching the sun and reflecting in the lake are also magnificent.
I thought I was going to miss it this year. The forecast today had looked promising but I set off in mist, drizzle and rain. I went anyway.
As I arrived in Stoke on Trent, the sun came out, and it was sparkly by the time I reached Knypersley. It didn’t last long but it was unforgettable.
Breathtaking.
