Illuminating.

The low angle of the late afternoon sun illuminates the bare trunks and branches of what I suspect are Ash trees suffering from the Die Back disease. Many others in close proximity to this footpath have been felled in recent weeks, and in other areas close to the village  Ash trees have been taken out by the Highway Authority because of the danger to road users. I imagine there is still more of this work yet to be done. Hopefully there will be some planting of other species to fill the gaps created.
