Courage
I have read about these "Pride in London" roundels that are decorating some tube stations, but this is the first one I have seen, glimpsed long enough to get an iphone shot before the tube pulled out of Caledonian Road tube station.
As Transport for London says:
London is a city where you are free to love who you love, and truly be who you are. Our staff reflect the diversity of the city we serve, including the LGBT+ community. We asked our staff to design roundels that reflected their experiences of Pride in London.
This roundel was designed by:
Edwin, Customer service assistant
‘I wanted to capture the courage of a lion, using colour to represent Pride. Courage for all of us to return to what we perceived as normal life before the pandemic – courage to fight unseen enemies – and courage to be unique in our own special way.’
