Better Friday
Look. Blue sky.
It's certainly better than we've been having recently for sure.
Fancied some exploring today, after a link was posted to some interesting abandoned building images over in the forums. It got me thinking, we've loads of that subject matter around here, all within cycling distance too, and that might make for some photo project material.
So, whilst power washers powered up in nearby gardens and nearby gardens began to be Spring cleaned I got my puncture fixed, the chain and gears cleaned, degreased and oiled, and mud scraped and scrubbed before heading off into the four season's weather. Spring's definitely here or hereabouts, but it's a bit of an elusive bugger to track down just now.
That's not to say it wasn't still absolutely freezing on our jaunt around the asbestos laden, sheep-shit carpeted and pornographic poster filled buildings, especially when the easterly picked up and the snow showers blew in, but there was some signs of spring winning out as we took a walk around the old abandoned munitions warehouses. Lots and lots of sheep - the main occupants of the warehouses nowadays - but no sign of any lambs yet.
Home-made Italian meal digesting nicely; bread made by Euan, lasagne made from scratch (barring the actual mincing of the horse), and now settling down to watch some music docs. on BBC4.
A much better Friday. A good one even.
By the way, don't let the fact that Hez is on a bike here fool you; she and her BF drove there, she just fancied a wee play here whilst no-one could see her.
