Fragility

We started at Beachy Head and ended at Birling Gap. We took shots of Beachy Head’s lovely red lighthouse, the revamped lighthouse of Belle Tout (rather ugly close up) and views to the Seven Sisters. The weather was glorious and we ended the day with a sunset looking towards Seven Sisters (sadly not as spectacular as the one we ‘missed’ yesterday whilst caught in traffic on the coast road back). But, along the whole stretch, what was most notable was the fragility of the cliffs. Paths ended abruptly, buildings were gone, warnings were everywhere to stay away from the edge (ignored by too many).
