A happy ending?

This little mother duck has been through a lot.  Her first brood of 10 were diminished to zero overnight and she was left limping and without a partner.   I sent a wish into the air for a mate for her, since she had shown no signs of having one.   Now a few weeks later, I spotted her with 4 baby ducklings and happily, Prince Charming had arrived to be their dad.  Now there are only 2 ducklings left (we have a lot of predators: crows, water dragons, eels etc.) so we can only hope these two survive. They have a better chance with 2 parents to defend them and should they not make it, then at least mum and dad have each other for company.
