Hot Cross Bun's

Today I made Hot Cross Bun's for the first time.
Honestly it took 3 hours before I could cook them, Made the Bread stuff, Rise for an hour, Add the Currants etc, Rise for an hour, Make the mixture into buns, Rise for an hour; then Bake.
They are nice & shiny, but don't look brilliant.
Don't think I'll try again.
We do need a New Oven really & maybe let my Son J do the baking from now on, he's such a good Baker.
