Magnolia soulangeana

Our Magnolia soulangeana must be at least 40 years old so I decided to collect some seed from one of this year's seed pods with the aim of creating a new tree. It only takes about 15 years! First step is to remove the red outer skin then refrigerate the seed for about three months.
