Metronome

At a new (to me) Nottingham venue (Metronome) last night to see Anna Meredith. State of the art venue, including having a digital screen displaying graphics behind the band.

Support act Hinako Omori pictured above mesmerised the whole audience with her very graceful and expressive knob twiddling (many more knobs on the floor), singing and playing. 30 Minutes non-stop.

Anna Meredith (MBE) composer and performer straddles classical and contemporary music, and electronic and analogue. Anna pictured standing standing playing drums (clarinet, lead vocals, xylophone and synths too). Drummer (& xylophone), Guitarist, Cellist and Tuba player complete the band - all excellent musicians, with the timing and precision of an orchestra. Another excellent gig.
