As close as we got to meat today
Back blip (just!)
Relaxed in the house in the morning and did some tasky catching up. For what seemed like the first time in many months we had the house to ourselves. We've been getting some maintenance and painting done and so our friend Alistair and do-er of all such things has been in almost every day for a few hours. Not today though.
In the afternoon, we walked into the centre of Bcn and decided to go to a veggie restaurant for dinner which we hadn't been to for years. The place is still going strong after 20 years, as popular as ever and was one of the very first to offer an alternative to traditional Catalan food in Barcelona. However, we ordered a rissotto dish with seitan in it (protein extracted from wheat) and it really wasn't our cup of tea. Bb's a true butcher's son and although he doesn't eat a lot of red meat, couldn't quite adapt himself to this offering! I'm being polite here! The shared lemon sponge cake was a better ending. Taxi home as the heaven's had opened.
