A day in the garden
......and it felt good :) Lots more tidying and trimming done, green bin chocka so had to start adding to the regular rubbish bin and by the time I was finished, both bins were chocka! Big thanks to neighbour A who came over to help me move the plant from the broken pot (which has been waiting for a new home for a l-o-n-g time) into a new, intact but smaller pot. It's only a temporary measure - I'm told that the 'new' terracotta pots are all sitting in containers in ships sitting offshore 'somewhere'. Apparently they might be delivered to stores in the next two to three months! More covid casualties. Hope the plant survives its new tiny house.
And speaking of COVID, there were 135 new community cases reported today. 64 are in hospital and 5 in ICU. Vaccinations (Vax-a-nation) are progressing pretty well.......nationally, 89% of the eligible population have had their first dose and 77% are doubled vaxed. In the Nelson-Marlborough DHB area we're sitting at a tad under the national average at 87% and 77%.
