Its work here is done

Walked past the bee bed today. There's still some colour and it looks OK for November but most of the flowers, such as this rudbeckia, are on the way out. It has been a great success.

I was booked for a day's work and was in the virtual office at 09:30. By 10:05 it was clear that no more needed to be done today so I was off the hook. Not that I mind the work, quite the opposite, but it was unexpected free time. I went into the garden with shears, secateurs and loppers. It didn't take me long to fill the brown bin with clippings. Very satisfying work.

Today is the last dry day for a while and I am making the most of it. Wishing you a good weekend whatever the weather.
