In South Kensington

We visited the V&A museum today, where we gazed down at the David in the cast gallery and had a look at some contemporary book art and Constable sketches. We also wandered through the Japanese rooms, as I am still reading Kawabata. We splurged on lunch in the member’s room and then bought German Advent calendars at the Medici shop (the extra), a holiday tradition for me. Sadly, this lovely shop, here since 1930, is threatened due to a proposed redevelopment of the block.
