Sky and Lighthouses

Two lighthouses in this photograph, one a light at the entrance to the harbour, the other a proper lighthouse.

When I arrived at the beach area today I was attracted to the layers of light in the sky, and the strip of blue sky just above the horizon. Shortly after taking the  picture the blue disappeared as the cloud closed up. Nevertheless it was not quite the featureless sky we have had most of the week.

The air was very still and the sea very calm. Not many people around at the time of my visit, though there were a few people in the water. They may have wanted to be surfers, but if so there was not much chance of ay surf today.
