The Castle

Today I walked with my friend, Dot. She lives in Carisbrooke and so we wandered up to and around the castle where King Charles 1 was held prisoner. It is closed for the winter. The sky was a lovely blue and the sun shone. I like it best when Cowslips spring up in the moat. I spent many happy hours there in my childhood and also lived at the bottom of the road for a while in Castle Hill.
