Alcester
This morning we went to Alcester. Ann had an appointment for her booster jab so I had a little walk around whilst I waited for her. The picture is of the Three Tuns pub. There was a dreadful fire there in April this year. The couple who ran the pub, a Grade II listed building, were on their way to Cornwall when they were told of the fire, the pair lived above the place. I wasn't a regular there, though I have been and remember one summer evening sitting outside with a friend having a pint. I am not sure what will happen to the building.
After lunch we met Maureen and Ian at Charlecote Park. We had a nice walk and a coffee in the courtyard of Wood Yard cafe. As is mandatory with any blip from Charlecote there are pictures of the deer in the extras. There were notices of the rutting, and not getting in the way, though most of the stags seem to have settled down with their harems, we only saw one lonely stag, chomping the grass and pretending he didn't care!
