Boom, sparkle....

Very excited children, who saw so many of their friends at our local (and, it turns out), rather large, firework display. 

Many, many tears from the eldest as I put my foot down at buying the plastic sparkly things, not sure if I was totally mean or trying to wean the boys off plastic (COP is clear having an effect on me). I did tell the eldest that he would thank me one day for not buying plastic and not supporting the Chinese economy, but it was rather lost on a six year old. 

Today I'm grateful for:
Lunch time bike ride with the husband
The boys loving the fireworks
The eldest being asleep almost before I left his bedroom after saying goodnight!
