Family heirloom

A strangely entertaining day spent helping Mum and Dad clear out their garage. We decided it’s much more fun doing that when it’s someone else’s junk and you don’t have any attachment to the random objects being stored for some reason that no one can remember. Such as….

3 strimmers (now established that one works, one doesn’t and one might if we can find a replacement cover for a bit with some exposed wire)

2 steam cleaners- one possibly works, both are being kept in case of…. I don’t know what.

1 deep fat fryer basket, fryer lost in the mists of time

1 small portable guitar amp, not working

1 cotton tote bag containing a large quantity of sand and a brick

1 girdle (the kind used for making oatcakes, not for shrinking waists)

1 box containing several light up thumbs and a pair of red rubber demon hands


And this wee stool my Dad made when he was at school. Which I’ve always loved and have been promised as my inheritance.
