Monmouth became the world's first Wikipedia town a few years ago. It means that there's a lot of these plaques around town that you can scan with your phone and learn more about the history of Monmouth. This one is quite interesting as The Chartists were tried in Monmouth and transported or otherwise punished. The courtroom in the Shire Hall is open to the public and has lots of documents relating to the Chartist rebellion.
