Silly Saturday
Boy was it noisy last night…the fireworks were relentless from 6pm to 8pm then after half an hours peace started up again for another hour! Luckily the little one went to sleep and wasn’t disturbed by them. If all the fireworks had been in one organised display it would have been quite spectacular…instead there were dozens of households presumably setting them off in their gardens and a few down at the beach.
I’d imagine the village is littered this morning with spent fireworks…my blip was taken just along from the house, goodness knows how far it had travelled as there were none being let off on our street. I doubt anyone has picked up their own spent ones!
Little one had me up at 6am…he’s still on BST! I got a load of washing done and out on the line blowing nicely, turned my back for two minutes and it was pouring down…plan B is in action. Think it’s going to be an indoors kind of afternoon, though I can see some blue sky appearing.
Thanks to KangaZu for hosting Silly Saturday today.
Added an extra of the beautiful rainbow which graced our quick walk this afternoon (daughter is here for the night)…we didn’t manage to stay dry all the way there and back but it wasn’t too cold. Spotted on the prom several empties of those pre boxed firework displays…all neatly stacked next to a litter bin. They’d obviously transported them down there somehow, why couldn’t they take them away again!
