Highcombe Hike

Looking for a change of scenery and some lunch, I headed over to the Devil's Punch Bowl, and after a warming bowl of soup took myself along the "Highcombe Hike", a 3 mile way-marked circular walk.  This walk takes you along the Highcombe Edge overlooking the East side of the punch bowl, then down into the bowl itself before taking a long slow trek back upto the top and the car park.  The walk is classified by the National Trust as "challenging" due to the climb, but I was gratified to fine that it was a lot easier than when I last walked it before retiring!
