Garden Playmate

In a child-friendly garden
a worm comes out to play,
donning rainbow colours
as if it wants to say,
"Children, look how bright I am!"
It wriggles and it curls.
"Can you do such wormy tricks,
little boys and girls?"

In a child-friendly garden,
especially after rain,
the rainbow worm might pop its head
above the ground again.
Be sure to practise wriggling
and squirming, long and thin,
then when the worm plays games again,
you, too, can join in.
