Up and Down the Vineyards

Fabulous weather today and my daughter and I decided to go out walking in the vineyards. We walked from the village of Chexbres, along two more villages up and down the vineyards before catching our train to our respective destinations.  The slopes were very steep indeed!

The vineyards are taking on a burnished look now and we could see the first snowfalls on the surrounding mountains.

Extra: Going towards Lausanne to take our train two villages away. While we were waiting for the next train, we sat outside on a terrace to have a drink, peeling our jackets off in the sunshine.

A great outing. We did  17.900 steps (whew) and 12.5 kilometres (7.7 miles).
