Resurfacing

Everyone moved their cars to allow resurfacing except one person who must have missed the news. The workmen came prepared, though, popping little wheeled gadgets under the car tyres and pushing it out of the way and - with a few hairy moments - round a corner between two parked cars on an adjoining road.

This evening Juno and I listened to Classic FM’s calming music for pets scared of fireworks. She fell asleep and seemed completely unbothered by the distant bangs and whizzes. Let’s see how it goes tomorrow when there may be some nearer to home.
