38th Annual Tractor Ploughing Match

We stumbled upon this event in East Lothian this morning so we decided to stop and watch for a while. The programme specified the various classes ranging from: non hydraulic reversible, through multi furrow reversible, vintage mounted, trailing vintage, classic and novice.
The ploughed furrows were judged on: opening, start, seed beds, firmness, uniformity, finish, ins and outs, general appearance, and accuracy of final furrow.  It was a great learning experienced and a wonderful day out although the weather was a bit wild to say the least.
