Cartoonified Carpet Fitters
Another cartoonified capture of the tradesmen who have been working on our refurbishment. I actually like the way his reflection is in the glass of the shower door.
This is Mark Owen and his colleague David. Mark is the third generation of carpet suppliers and fitters. His grand father, Edward, bought "The Shambles" which is just off the High Street in Guildford in 1946. The beautiful building is approx 200 years old. Mark's father, Ron is still actively involved in the business which thankfully is thriving in today's economic difficulties.
So the carpet is now down, the wardrobes are hopefully arriving this week and, if all goes to plan, we will be moving back into our room next weekend. Albeit without curtains, they will be following a few days later.
Sorry still no sign of Bango - it's not looking too good I'm afraid.
