Toon

I knew A would want a lie in this morning (and I woke later than usual too!) so I booked brunch for quite late and spent the first part of the morning doing some overdue financial housekeeping. Why does doing anything around changing accounts, altering regular payments etc etc take so long and involve so many steps? Anyway, finally sorted it out then we headed down to the town through the drizzle and wind. Delicious brunch including some super fluffy pancakes with grilled peaches, then a lot of browsing/shopping for A to buy new jeans and a shirt and a charity shop padded jacket find. The weather picked up a bit and was quite bright before sunset (all too early). She also got some advice from ESPC office about the process of buying houses up here.
Got the bus home as we were pretty shattered by the end of the day, and were keen to sit down with tea!
Quiet evening…our day out tomorrow’s not going ahead as CB’s brother in law is very seriously ill with Covid and has taken a turn for the worse so they’re on standby to go down to be with family. Shocking….
