Pisces Arisen!

According to a story from Greek mythology, the primordial goddess Gaia sent "the father of all monsters" Typhon to destroy the Gods of Olympus in revenge for their defeat of the Titans, with Aphrodite transforming herself and her son Eros into a pair of fishes in a bid to escape.

But here, artist Jason Hackenwerth and his team complete their residency at the National Museum of Scotland by raising this monumental balloon sculpture interpreting this ancient story in the Grand Gallery, as part of the Edinburgh Science Festival.
