Badgerslade Track

A short walk this morning on Cannock Chase.  I love this area, there are a number of beech trees that normally offer exceptional autumn colour.  Perhaps not as good as previous years, the leaves seemed to have started to drop before the colour was at its peak.  

I used a slow shutter speed and 10 shot multiple exposure to soften the image, with only the tree trunks and track remaining completely sharp.  I was also trying to capture the fleeting moments of sunshine so have added an extra from a nearby area where a small pool of sunlight illuminated a branch of leaves and the path underneath.
