Museum of Scotland

A grand day out. We walked into town via the Zulu Lounge (Funky Monkey banana and mars bar hot chocolate!), to the Museum of Scotland. We had heard good things about the Viking exhibition, but we weren't that impressed (we did score free tickets though by being in the right place at the right time). Perhaps because I'm from York and I've been to one or two Viking exhibitions in my time including the Jorvick Centre, this time there was no moving cart, Viking clad figures or 'authentic' smells. All the free stuff though was amazing, you could get lost in there for days amongst pickled octopus tentacles, steam engines, formular one cars and balloon sculptures.

We followed that with a lunch at Mother India and a slow walk home through the Meadows. Plus we finally joined the digital revolution and with our newly acquired wifi can now watch lots of films through our telly. Magic.
