Idle hands...

...are not for me, so on Saturday after a tidy up of the stitching cave , I thought I'd add to my (working) pin cushion collection and selected a piece of fine canvas and some fine woollen needlepoint yarns in appealing shades and got onto it.  I have six grandchildren and they're all gorgeous boys , so a little touch of pink now and then is a wee indulgence ; ))
I finished the canvas yesterday afternoon and this morning, backed it with wool and then using the same fabric cut a back for the pincushion , machined 3 sides, stuffed it firmly with wool batting offcuts, stitched it closed and  to finish, stitched a fine 
'pearly' beading to the seam . Now I'll just stick pins in it!
