Our first roses
We have been watching the rose buds with great anticipation and today was the day. We’re not sure of the name of this beautiful rose but it’s just loving it’s possie in the cottage garden which is just outside the kitchen window. It’s the window I look out of when I’m making a cup of tea :). Over the years the garden has transitioned from being a veggie patch to its current role as a flower garden. We had 42 ml of rain over the last 24 hours and just over 90 ml over the last three days. Obviously the roses have responded well to the rain and were ready to burst out of their skins.
It was an action packed day out at Wombat Hollow today. It was “Giant Rock” day and Michael the landscaper enlisted the help of a bob cat operator to help him move them into position. It’s always exciting and motivating at the same time to be making changes to the property and we certainly achieved that today. Mauzee has more to say in her journal about those rocks :)). Well worth a read!
