Off down that road south over the Carter Bar and onward not sure exactly how, following the A1(M) and M18 and M1 before we found ourselves going down a single track road, and then reversing up the same. That’s maps.me for you.
Matlock! Attractive jewel in Derbyshire’s crown, where H&F are new residents. A bit of a change from Kilburn. Though by the time we went out for a stroll it was dark. Not so dark that we could fail to make out the fine stone buildings, the Union flags on every second lamppost, poppy displays aplenty. Just like being back at yesterday’s Hearts game, ho ho!
