Treasure

This year this votive ship has been hanging in the Nauvo church for 50 years. On her 50 th birthday the hidden treasure was uncovered for the first time. 
On the old papers is the story of the navigation In Nauvo when the sailing boats had their high seasons before steam ships. 
The real ship, called Aid, was built in Nauvo. She sailed 26 years as far as the Mediterranean Sea before she went in storm to ship wreck in 1899 near Vaasa town in Finland. Nobody died but the ship was lost.
