Support your local MP (if he's a good 'un)

The Minx had an early Teams meeting, which she was doing from home, so I took advantage of the continued good weather to get out for a run, doing the route that goes up and around behind Casterton, where I took this photo. (I seem to be running really well at the moment and I'm not sure why!)

After that we spent the day in the office before I kicked off my evening's entertainment at the Royal Barn, enjoying a couple of beers with my good chum, Hugo. The Minx came down to join us around seven o'clock before she and I went 'round to the curry house to meet Rosie and Tim.

Tim in this case is our local MP,  whose reputation as a homophobe seems to travel ahead of him ringing bells. Suffice to say that if there was any truth in that, then I wouldn't socialise with him! (It does frustrate me how dreadful the Lib Dems' media training is though.)

I suppose from a business point of view it would be more useful if my local MP was a Tory, but I doubt I'd want to go for a curry with them, whereas Tim is smart and entertaining, and blessed with an amazing memory for political and historical facts and figures. I like him a lot.

Since the Labour party has no presence here, I'm never in any doubt about who to vote for when general elections come 'round. Which makes incidents like today's disgraceful behaviour by the Conservatives in Parliament all the more frustrating. There doesn't seem to be much I can do until the next election comes around, when I'll apply my one vote.
