Less than a km from our house as the crow flies - or perhaps as the cormarent swims might be more appropriate - this peninsula always feels rather more remote than it actually is.
I suspect the inhabitants fo this buliding felt quite connected, being right on e the shore and surrounded by extensive feannagan. The English translation of 'lazy beds' has rather fallen into disrepute in these PC times.
In the foreground you should be able to make out the remnants of a peat drying stand. Probalby cut from less than a hundred metres away.
