A tiny piece of chocolate

Travel snack.

We both were up at 4:45am so by 5:30am we were on the road heading west. Bad hotel coffee and a Little Debbie Nutty Buddy for the man. We could have stopped for better coffee and real food next to the hotel but the man said we could get something further down the road. We did get food later but it was not great. A day of snacking most of the day for me.


As we were traveling we were shocked to see a tractor trailer a good ways ahead of us run off the road on the left side and without slowing or turning over the trailer
he pulled back into the road, spend up to get in the right lane and kept on going. There were two cars and another tractor trailer ahead of us that all slowed but it really could have been a major accident. We think the driver fell asleep. All of the vehicles along with us passed this truck so we would not be behind him in case he fell asleep or did something else that was not safe.


We are now in Nebraska. We had a12 hour driving day with only a few traffic slowdowns. Good weather also as it was pleasantly warm when we were out of the truck. Hoping tomorrow we can get to our destination. Only a 9 hour drive.
