Coastline

Yesterday’s golden light has gone, replaced by grey skies, wind and rain. We strolled out to Nobby’s, then explored some of Newcastle’s convict history. There’s a walk that takes in the sites of the convict lumber yard/works depot/barracks, the breakwater, a coal mine - all would have been familiar to my great-great-grandfather in the 1820s.
