Blowing leaves

This is how the city cleans leaves in neighborhoods. I think people have to rake them from their yards into the street or sidewalk, and then the city takes care of the rest. I've gotten photos of them in action before.

Normally I hate leafblowers. I am not going to make an exception here. But they actually are using them for their intended purpose. In Phoenix, they just blow dust around. There aren't trees that drop leaves like this there, so I don't even know why they have them. They're loud, pollute the air, and are useless.
