Remembrance 12
I needed to drop my daughter into Penryn this morning so I decided to do a bit of Commonwealth War Graves visiting as well. Bundling a protesting Paddy into the car we set off, dropped Sam and headed for St Gluvias in Penryn.
There has been extensive cutting and clearing of undergrowth and overhanging tree branches since my last visit and the grass has been cut which always makes life easier. I located five of the six headstones I was unable to find on a previous visit but I’m confident that I will find the missing one when I don’t have Paddy to contend with as well.
Just enough time at home to have a quick tidy up, a coffee and I was out and on my way to Truro for my Covid Booster. The Health & Well Being Centre at Treliske was the venue. Easy to find, free parking and a quick and painless routine, including the compulsory fifteen minute wait after the injection I guess I was probably there for a little over twenty-five minutes.
Flu jab next, maybe tomorrow if I can get booked in.
Today’s photo the tree lined footpath at St Gluvias ‘old’ cemetery, very Game of Thrones esq.
