Sheffield Park Station

A week ago we were on the Gala Train travelling from Sheffield Park to East Grinstead, today, it looks quite different but still very special. We'd taken two little grandsons on the 9.30am train who were naturally more interested in the engine sheds than this beautiful station entrance. It is often used by film companies together with its neighbour Horsted Keynes and we have spotted it in many TV programmes painted in various colours. Walking into the Ticket Office is like stepping back in time, fire in the grate, polished brass and beautiful posters and not an electronic device in sight!
