Solar Heat

The plate glass windows in our "Florida Room" are south facing so that on sunny days in the winter there's usually no need to kick on the heater, even on the coldest of mornings. I know I live in the sunny south and some of you are shaking your heads (particularly those who are still up in New England) but with a combination of age, meds, and acclimation I get cold easy so it's a feature I appreciate.
