In the Garden
It's been a dull, damp day. I spent some of this morning cooking a meal for tomorrow after which I had a mooch round the garden to see if anything was left worth recording. I did find some flashes of colour, including a hydrangea flower still hanging on, and the sedum has turned a lovely shade of red. The Japanese Primrose is still in flower and there are plenty of red berries around.
What did surprise me was the Flowering Quince. Although we have not had any fruit off the Quince tree at the bottom of the garden for a couple of years, the Flowering Quince appears to have borne an excess.
After lunch we went for a stroll up to Shottery, the way strewn with fallen brown leaves.
