Buttermere Trees
We spent the day at Buttermere, with truly sensational conditions for most of the day. This was taken at the southern end of the Lake, near the Pines that are such an iconic feature of many images. At this time of year the sun only rises above the surrounding mountains for a few hours of the day, all of it backlighting the trees. This was a stitched panoramic image, framed in the classic 6 by 17 ratio.
It was truly one of those days that was a joy to be out taking photographs, made all the better by good company and shared endeavour. I've added a few extras to show the variety of images available to us during the day.
