A walk by Hareshaw Burn

I did not attempt to join the Haltwhistle walkers today. Arth is still not up to it. Instead, we went to Bellingham and walked part of the way up the path towards Hareshaw Linn.

Once I started to find fungi, there were more to see. There were also quite a few different slime moulds, one of which is my main image. These are extraordinary structures that take on a variety of shapes and forms.

My extra is of a branch of a rowan tree, bedecked with lichens and a few berries. There are lots of these trees on the path by the burn.

Otherwise, I have processed today's photos, watched Only Connect and University Challenge from Monday and now it is time for bed.
