COP26 badges

A disturbed night with what felt like an abscess forming in my jaw. My NHS dentist saw me at noon after a cancellation and reassured me that there was no obvious sign in an X-ray. Some adjustment to my refitted crown made my bite more comfortable so we’ll see how that goes. I may have been grinding my teeth to much in my sleep.

It was a lovely sunny autumnal day so I walked into the centre of Edinburgh to pick up my new specs. Only a slight adjustment mainly for the right eye. I’ll need to get used to them though but already reading is easier.

The visit gave me the chance to see the banners of badges made by various faith groups across Scotland which are displayed at New College on the Mound. They emphasise the need for delegates at COP26 to make effective progress. Mote details can be found at

Two groups of young people at our church made badges and it was good to see them forming part of the display.
